Fastdrafting 101: From Concept to First Draft in 4 Days

Love the idea of "write every day" but crazy life and hectic schedules intrude? Want to find a way to get that first draft on paper quickly? Maybe you’d like to see the unholy love child that would occur if plotting and pantsing had a passionate fling. Then Fastdrafting 101 is for you!

Participants will learn how to prepare for the first draft, including creating character histories and filling plot holes in advance of the fastdrafting process. We will discuss the nuts and bolts of the fastdrafting days. Examples of fastdrafted versions versus final “polished” versions of a manuscript will be compared.

This workshop is geared toward writers who want to increase their first draft production time/rate, or writers who have schedule challenges.
